The project was developed over a span of four months, and its code is available for viewing and free download on my GitHub page.
The goal of the experience designed was to create a SCORM package for a Moodle platform.
The game features a 3D representation of a typical Spanish apartment where an elderly person lives. The player must identify potential hazards where the elderly resident could get hurt and answer questions on how to address each issue. Upon completion, the student's answers are graded, and both the score, the time taken to finish the exercise, and the student's name are automatically uploaded to Moodle.
The game was designed with usability and accessibility in mind. For example, when the student spend too much without finding hazards, the hazards around him would start being highlighted in order to avoid frustration.
The code was developed using the MVC pattern to ensure better organization and expandability for future levels.
🔹 Designed and developed the game.
🔹 Ensured that each of the 26 problems presented by the client were present in the level.
🔹 Managed communication with the client, assessing their needs and delivering regular test builds.
🔹 Conducted playtesting for all levels to ensure proper quality.
🔹 Created standardized tools within the game engine to streamline level generation (Mainly in the form of scriptable objects that contained all the information about a hazard).
🔹 Composed and implemented all songs and sounds in the game.
🔹 Integrated all the art in the level, as well as lighted the scene.
